The Pomeranian Bichon is a cute, fluffy hybrid dog mix breed of the Pomeranian and the Bichon Frise. They can be called by other names such as Bichon-A-Ranian, Pomachon or Pom Frise.
The Bichon-A-Ranian is recognized by the American Canine Hybrid Club, the Designer Dogs Kennel Club and the Designers Breed Registry.
The average life expectancy of this breed is between 12 and 15 years. They generally grow to the moderate height of 9 to 11 inches and to the weight of 5 to 10 pounds. The small size of this mixed breed makes them ideal for any size home, from apartments to mansions.
They do not need a lot of room for exercise but
they do enjoy their daily dose of playtime. All dogs need daily exercise and nice pack walk. Smaller breeds have a lot of energy more then most people think.
The Pom Frise's hypoallergenic coat can be white and curly like the Bichon Frise or straight with the colors of brown, tan, red, orange or black like the Pomeranian.
If the coat is curly then lots of daily brushing and grooming will be needed to reduce tangling and matting. On the other hand, if the Bichon-A-Ranian has a straight coat then regular grooming is still needed but not as often.
The Pomachon is a very friendly, outgoing and sociable mixed dog breed and is
the perfect fit for homes with individuals of all ages. They can be pretty easy
to train provided you start off the right way. See our training pages for some helpful tips and advise.
